About the author and why you should read my blog at all
My name is Serhii Shevchenko and I am passionate about a healthy lifestyle. Also, I’ve been vegan for over 5 years and have 7+ years of experience in sports. But you are probably wondering how my knowledge can help you solve your problems and why you should read this blog at all. To answer this question, let me tell you my short personal story.
It all started when one day I had a neck injury, or a herniated cervical disc to be more precise. Because of this, I couldn’t walk normally for several months and even when I was lying down, I still had a lot of pain, because the disc was pressing on the nearby nerves and my neck, arms, and back were going numb.
After contacting medical advisors, they told me that in my situation an operation is needed, but there’s no guarantee that after it everything will be as before and I will be able to do sports normally, etc.
Since I am generally not a supporter of operations and stuff like that, I decided to study this issue on my own, find the cause and, if possible, a natural treatment that would not include operations and would give the possibility of a full recovery or close to it.
Long story short, my research has led me to the fact that our diet can significantly affect our health, especially when there is, for example, a lack of certain vitamins, minerals.
So, I got an idea that maybe if I start eating better and get all the vitamins I need, my neck problem will go away on its own.
And I turned out to be right. Literally about a week after I changed my diet, my pain started to decrease little by little. Now I can walk normally, do sports, as before, and I did not need to do any surgery for this.
My experience led me to the idea that it would be nice to share my knowledge, experience, so that other people did not have to search for the answers to these questions for several month or years like I did.
That’s why I’ve made it my mission to share scientific research on topics like health and mindset to help as many people (and animals) as possible.
